About Us
We are the Puthenpurackal family, from Pollethai in Alappuzha, Kerala. Our story begins with Sahayan — the head of the family and the man whose name we trace everything back to — who built his home and his life in this quiet village on the backwaters of Kerala.
For generations, we have been a family of the land and the water: farmers and fishermen, tending the fields and the backwaters that Alappuzha is known for. Faith has always been at the heart of our home — as Latin Catholics, we have gathered, married, and said our farewells at Holy Family Church, Pollethai, the parish that has held our family across every generation.
The name Puthenpurackal — the new house — once described a place. Today it describes a people: spread across cities and countries, but still rooted in that first home in Pollethai.
